Primary Schools

Primary School places are available for students from age 6 (Years 1 to 6) who are accompanied by a Student Guardian Visa holder. Students attend the local Primary School which is nearest to their accommodation in Tasmania.

Primary Schools provide a safe and supportive environment where young students develop academic, physical and social skills which underpin their future learning. The curriculum is engaging and challenging, with an integrated approach which helps students make connections between the different learning areas. There is a strong focus on progress toward national outcomes for literacy and numeracy skills, daily physical education sessions, and weekly lessons by specialist teachers in music and languages. Other programs include camps, excursions, sports, and learn to swim.

Our primary schools place a very high value on building links with their communities. It is recognised that strong bonds between students, teachers, parents and local organisations are important for educational success. Parents are encouraged to actively participate in school life, and there are opportunities such as classroom help, fund raising and lunch days which enable parents to contribute and connect with the school community.

Primary Schools encourage the involvement of parents in the school community and welcome their participation in school activities.
